Did you know that in a world filled with turmoil and strife, you can have “Perfect Peace?”
Isaiah 26:3 (AMPC);
“You will guard him and keep him in perfect and constant peace whose mind [both its inclination and its character] is stayed on You because he commits himself to You, leans on You, and hopes confidently in You.”
We learn from this scripture an important truth.
“To the degree that the Mind of Christ develops in you is to the degree that you will have, “Perfect Peace.”
1st Corinthians 2:16 (AMP):
“For WHO HAS KNOWN THE MIND and PURPOSES OF THE LORD, SO AS TO INSTRUCT HIM? But we have the mind of Christ [to be guided by His Thoughts and Purposes].”
A Covenant of The Mind
“Perfect Peace” is a “Covenant of the Mind.” “The Mind of Christ” that has been ingrafted within our Spirit by The Love of God! How?….. Through The Shed Blood of Jesus Christs’ Sacrifice at Calvary. At the moment of our salvation, we are granted eternal life along with the gift of “Perfect Peace.”
John 14:27 (TPT):
“I leave the gift of peace with you—My Peace. Not the kind of fragile peace given by the world, but My ‘Perfect Peace.’ Don’t yield to fear or be troubled in your hearts—instead, be courageous!”
Merriam Webster Dictionary:
PERFECT = Being entire without fault or defect.
PEACE = A state of tranquility or quiet. Freedom from disquieting or oppressive thoughts.
COVENANT = A written agreement or promise usually under seal between two or more parties, especially for the performance of some action.
MIND = The element or complex of an individual that feels, perceives, thinks, wills, and main reasons.
The Blood of Jesus Christ shed at Calvary “SEALED” the “Covenant of The Mind of Christ” within us as Born Again Believers. This inheritance of “Perfect Peace” is ‘without fault or defect.’ This Divine Love Gift to The Body of Christ enables us to be ‘free from disquieting or oppressive thoughts.’ Jesus Christ did not give us a weak, superficial peace. He paid a Great Price that gave us “His Peace.” This Divine, “Perfect Peace,” when followed, provides us with the COURAGE to be His Ambassadors in a world filled with fear and uncertainty. Conversely, if we choose to rely on the “fragile peace” of the world, we will not experience God’s Best for our lives.
A Fragile Peace

Worldly peace is a fragile peace that can easily shatter. When you and I choose to be comforted by this superficial peace, we ‘yield to fear.’ This causes us to no longer live in “Perfect Peace,” enjoying our “Covenant of The Mind of Christ.” In this weakened state of embracing the “fragile peace” of the world, we become double-minded. People who think and reason in opposition to “The Mind of Christ.” When this happens, we need to quickly repent and ask God for His Wisdom before it’s too late!
James 1:5-8 (AMPC);
“If any of you is deficient in wisdom, let him ask of the Giving God [Who gives] to everyone liberally and ungrudgingly, without reproaching or faultfinding, and it will be given him.” “Only it must be in faith that he asks with no wavering (no hesitating, no doubting). For the one who wavers (hesitates, doubts) is like the billowing surge out at sea that is blown hither and thither and tossed by the wind.” “For truly, let not such a person imagine that he will receive anything [he asks for] from The Lord,” “[For being as he is] a man of two minds (hesitating, dubious, irresolute), [he is] unstable and unreliable and uncertain about everything [he thinks, feels, decides].”
The danger in continuing to live in a state of “Double-mindedness” is that we forfeit our gift of “Perfect Peace.” This causes us to “receive nothing from The Lord.” When this happens, we tend to blame God and others for the missteps in our lives, rather than facing the truth that we have become “unstable, unreliable and uncertain in everything that we [think, feel and decide.].” The Good News is that “The Prince of Peace” has patiently been waiting for us to follow His “Perfect Peace” through the Leadership of The Holy Spirit.
Our Hero The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is our God Given Hero. He helps to “save the day” as we live our lives in His “Perfect Peace.” Relying on The Holy Spirits’ Leadership in our everyday decisions develops “The Mind of Christ” within us. The result? We become sure-footed and stable in our spirit, soul, and body so that others can follow our example. Yielding to the Holy Spirit is how we are “guided by His Thoughts and Purposes” throughout our everyday lives.
Are you allowing The Holy Spirit to be “YOUR HERO” and lead you in your everyday decisions?
Romans 8:14 (AMPC);
“For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.”
In John 14:26 (AMPC), Jesus gives us a beautiful description of The Personhood of The Holy Spirit, Who is The Spirit of The Living God;
“But the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My Name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall (will remind you of, bring to your remembrance) everything I have told you.”
Developing The Mind of Christ
The Holy Spirit “teaches us all things.” As we yield to His Teachings, we will “Develop The Mind of Christ,” through the Word of God, The Holy Spirit “will remind us, and bring to our remembrance) everything He has told us.” When The Holy Spirit Speaks, He always communicates The Heart of The Father for every aspect of our lives. The Holy Spirit will NEVER violate the Written Word of God. If He did, He would be breaking the gift of “Perfect Peace” that His Son Jesus Christ gave us, and He is not about to do that! “Developing The Mind of Christ” is so vital to The Heart of Father God so that we can learn to walk in “Perfect Peace.” When we do this, we can rest assured that we are now, “living, moving and having our being in Him.” Ref. Acts 17:28 (a).
Walking in Perfect Peace
My friend, you and I are learning that “Walking in Perfect Peace” is a matter of The Mind—our “Covenant of The Mind of Christ” within us. Perhaps one of the most significant examples of walking in “Perfect Peace” comes from the Apostle Paul. From a cold jail cell in the ancient city of Philippi, Paul, a prisoner in dire circumstances, pens a word of “Perfect Peace” for you and I to follow.
Philippians 4:6-9 (TPT);
“Don’t be pulled in different directions or worried about a thing. Be saturated in prayer throughout each day, offering your faith-filled requests before God with overflowing gratitude. Tell Him every detail of your life, “then God’s wonderful peace that transcends human understanding will make the answers known to you through Jesus Christ.” “So keep your thoughts continually fixed on all that is authentic and real, honorable and admirable, beautiful and respectful, pure and holy, merciful and kind. And fasten your thoughts on every Glorious work of God, praising Him always.” “Follow the example of all that we have imparted to you, and The God of Peace will be with you in all things.”
This word of instruction and encouragement from Paul has become my prayer for you, my friend as we choose to,
